GROW YOUR OWN HOME.
This is a video clip of a lecture I attended by designer architect Mitchell Joachim as part of the Science for Life conference held at the University of Winnipeg (Manitoba, Canada) in February.
Here he outlines his concept for his FAB TREEHAB, a form of housing that is grown out of trees and plants guided and manipulated into creating a truly green and ecological habitat.
The entire lecture was called “The Future Carborexic City” and dealt with creating urban and living spaces that are designed on the basis of not simply reducing carbon emissions; not simply eliminating carbon emissions, but actually moving towards living and urban environments that actually combat carbon emissions.
His lecture spanned living spaces, transportation, business and office spaces, waste management systems and more.
